Agenda Highlights & Meeting Structure
Our monthly gatherings combine organizational governance with actionable strategic planning. Each session is structured to address critical member priorities, operational updates, and community outreach programs.

Parliamentary Procedure & Governance: To ensure efficient operations and fair representation, all business, committee reports, and floor discussions are conducted strictly under Robert’s Rules of Order. We encourage every attendee to actively participate in debate, submit motions, and contribute to voting processes on key organizational goals and policies.

Community Initiatives & Public Safety: Review progress on our current outreach campaigns, including our partnerships with local agencies and organizations to distribute fire safety equipment, provide neighborhood support, and expand community risk reduction throughout Washington, D.C.

Youth Engagement & STEM Programs: Hear updates from our program coordinators regarding upcoming initiatives, including the Fire Safety STEM Youth Camp, volunteer application pipelines, counselor coordination, and educational curriculum development for District youth.

Professional Development & Advocacy: Discuss ongoing legislative, safety, and health advocacy efforts affecting firefighters and emergency responders across the region. We regularly share resources, training opportunities, and mentorship strategies to help members navigate career advancement and professional leadership.

National & Regional Conventions: Stay informed on upcoming events, delegate elections, and coordination details for bi-annual regional and national conventions, including collaborative efforts with the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters (IABPFF).
